Today marks a significant milestone for the Eureka network: Switzerland officially begins its term as Chair of Eureka, from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. Read more below!
This leadership, represented by the Swiss innovation funding agency Innosuisse, comes at a symbolic time—Eureka’s 40th anniversary—and brings with it an ambitious and future-focused agenda that will strengthen international cooperation, highlight innovation impact, and empower beneficiaries across the network.

The Swiss Chair has set out three key priorities:

Strengthening collaboration between beneficiaries, member states, and partner organisations.

Amplifying impact by showcasing success stories and shaping the future of innovation funding.

Empowering beneficiaries through enhanced support structures and operational excellence.
Under Switzerland’s leadership, a series of strategic initiatives will unfold:

Celebration of Eureka’s 40th anniversary, culminating in the Global Innovation Summit 2026, which will take place in early May 2026 in Basel, Switzerland.

Renewed engagement with the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) to improve matchmaking and cross-border partnerships.

Reintegration of Argentina and Chile into the Eureka network.

Global outreach efforts targeting potential new partner countries.

A strategic review of the funding portfolio and close alignment with the European Commission to enhance impact and transparency.
In addition to shaping current initiatives, the Swiss Chair will:

Develop the 2026–2030 Strategic Roadmap for Eureka.

Introduce streamlined meeting formats for more effective collaboration.

Publish a comprehensive handbook to preserve institutional knowledge and support future Eureka Chairs.
